basic stay near mercado bolhao
useful storage friendly staff
the location was really convenient, near the market and other stores. the staff was friendly, they helped me when i needed directions. luggage storage was useful after i checked out. the room had comfortable beds.
the shower had temperature problems. it went from cold to very hot without me touching it. the breakfast sometimes lacked napkins. the balcony was a rusty chair and peeling paint.

the hotel is near the historic center. i walked to many attractions. bolhao market is very close, as well as many shops. several restaurants are also within walking distance.

underwhelming stay. a few issues need attention
faulty shower enclosure limited ventilation
the location was acceptable. it allowed me to explore the city center with reasonable ease.
The bathroom design was a problem. After showering, water spread everywhere because the enclosure did not properly fit the shower dimensions and was partially open. despite attempts, adjusting the heating was impossible. there were no windows, only a velux window so airing out the room wasn't possible. the room felt stuffy and damp, really.

Excellent Stay in Great Location
convenient location efficient air conditioning
The location is very convenient, near many shops. The breakfast buffet had great hours (6:30 am to 12 pm) and a lot of selection. The air conditioning worked very efficiently and cooled the room down quickly. The combination of blackout blinds and thin curtain was very useful (I could control light and privacy).
The elevators were very tight. It's in a renovated building.

The hotel is located close to the market and various shops. It's also an easy walk down to the city center, though it is a bit uphill coming back. Public transportation is readily accessible near the hotel.

SUPER central and clean!
friendly staff central location blackout blinds
The staff was FRIENDLY and helpful ALWAYS. The location is AMAZING, so close to the market and the metro. I liked the combo of blackout blinds and a sheer curtain. It made the room dark at night, and private during the day.
The shower temperature changed randomly. It shifted from freezing cold to SCALDING HOT without adjusting anything. The balcony had peeling paint and a rusty chair. I found a decomposing custard tart there also.

The rooms were fairly basic, but very clean. Bathrooms include a great shower, and the communal bar area seemed cosy. Spending time there was relaxing after a long day.

The hotel has a perfect location. Easy access is granted to EVERYTHING. I loved that it was organised with very good reception and support. They also maintained privacy.
